Several years ago I befriended an old monk who lived in and around Jerusalem for many years. There he learned how to make incense using a very unique base. After experimenting he came up with his own unique blends. There was one in particular that I loved. The recipes where a guarded secret with him. Towards the end of his life he decided to give me all of his oils and bases but couldn't remember anymore the recipe for my absolute favorite of his. Recently I was looking through what he sent me and discovered a small chunk of that favorite incense and lamented that this would never again be produced.
While browsing through the catalogue I saw this blend. After receiving it I was amazed that it was VERY similar to what my friend was producing.
