Hazelnut Carrier Oil (Corylus avellana)
Hazelnut Carrier Oil is commonly used in hair care products to strengthen and condition the hair and preserve colour. It is particularly good for coloured/chemically treated hair, dry frizzy hair and dry scalp. In addition studies have shown that Hazelnut Oil acts as a strong sun filter making it a valuable base ingredient for natural sunscreens.

In addition to protecting, nourishing and moisturizing, Carrier Oils encourage absorption of Essential Oils evenly over the skin. Dilutions of 3-5% are usual when blending Essential Oils with Carrier Oils. Carrier Oils that are cold pressed are not exposed to heat and chemicals and are more nutrient rich than refined vegetable or nut oils.
