Absorption: Tamanu oil is absorbed at an average rate, and will leave a slightly oily feeling on the skin.
Storage: To prolong the shelf life of Tamanu carrier oil, store in a cool dark place or refrigerate after opening. Bring to room temperature before use.
Cautions: Considered a nut oil. Avoid if you are allergic to nuts. Tamanu Oil may become solid in cold temperatures. Bring to room temperature before use. For external use only.

Carrier Oils are vegetable and nut in origin and are used in Aromatherapy to dilute Essential Oils. In addition to protecting, nourishing and moisturizing, Carrier Oils encourage absorption of Essential Oils evenly over the skin. Dilutions of 3-5% are usual when blending Essential Oils with Carrier Oils. Carrier Oils that are cold pressed are not exposed to heat and chemicals and are more nutrient rich than refined vegetable or nut oils.
