Wheat Germ Carrier Oil (Triticum vulgare)
Wheat Germ Carrier Oil is very thick and has an earthy aroma. Wheat Germ Oil is a wonderful antioxidant and is used in combination with lighter oils to extend shelf life. When using Wheat Germ Carrier Oil in massage it is best diluted at 5-25% with a lighter oil because of its thickness, dark colour and earthy aroma.

Absorption: Wheatgerm oil is absorbed at an average rate, and will leave a slightly oily feeling on the skin.
Storage: To prolong the shelf life of Wheatgerm carrier oil, store in a cool dark place or refrigerate after opening. Bring to room temperature before use.

Dilutions of 3-5% are usual when blending Essential Oils with Carrier Oils. Carrier Oils that are cold pressed are not exposed to heat and chemicals and are more nutrient rich than refined vegetable or nut oils.
